Öll umferð er bönnuð í og við æðarvarpið frá 15. apríl – 14. júlí.
Öll óviðkomandi umferð um varplandið er óheimil á þessum tíma skv. reglugerð nr. 252/1996, sbr. lög nr. 64/1994. Brot gegn lögum þessum og reglum varða sektum eða fangelsi allt að 2 árum. Yfirlit friðlýsinga í gildi liggja frammi hjá Sýslumönnum. www.syslumenn.is

The eiderduck is protected under Icelandic law.
All access to the nesting area and its surroundings is prohibited between April 15 – July 14
During the nesting season, all public entry is prohibited according to Law No. 64/1994 and Regulation No. 252/1996. Violations are punishable by up to 2 years imprisonment and/or a fine. Information about eiderduck conservation areas in Iceland is available at www.syslumenn.is
